Mini Mondo | Montreal Science Centre

The Montreal Science Centre teamed up with La bande à Paul to create its all-new permanent exhibition, Mini Mondo, geared to children 0 to 7 years of age. The exhibition’s theme is nature and environmental protection and allows the public to have fun in a playful, colourful space.

Mini Mondo aims to introduce children to the notions of sustainable development through play and everyday places. The exhibition uses traditional and resolutely immersive techniques to offer young visitors and their parents the opportunity to discover the worlds of the city, the river and the forest through a host of simple yet varied devices.

Each area boasts a fun atmosphere that’s echoed in an original, large-scale mural by illustrator Claudia Fortin. These crisp and colourful murals feature relevant information adapted to the target audience. The interactive elements scattered throughout the exhibition encourage children to examine, touch, listen, feel and manipulate the elements around them. In this way, children get a chance to learn important principles while having fun.
